Plenty of cams and rocker arms on ebay.Sportsman 500 cam | eBay Pull the tank screen as it will probably have metal shavings on it. Don't forget to drain the engine sump and clamp off the tank vent hose when the engine is ready to start up with the new parts.Get a small tube of assembly lube for the new cam's lobes and journals.

If you have to replace anyway, why not replace with a hotter cam? I run a Web Racing Cam in my Arctic Cat 500. Quite a nice improvement in performance. I broke in the new cam with straight 30W at 2000rpms and slightly more for 30 min as Web suggested, before draining and replacing with RotellaT6 .

I took a look at Web racing cams catalog that hasn't been updated since 2013. The Sportsman 500 cams require a high compression piston and don't have a compression release. That would make it hard to pull start which is something I've had to do with mine. An H.O. cam would be good enough for me.
