question about eps in sportsman 850

Default question about eps in sportsman 850

i have sportsman 850 xp eps 2010 and i have problem in the engine power steering. the motor is dead.
i want to know if i can run the atv without that motor or i must fix it?

I have to just "assume" it'd steer the same or a tad harder than a non eps model,but I retired before we ever had any problems with them.. Wouldn't think it'd hurt anything other than your arms,but others that have any experience in this will chime in.

You can run without it but will be harder to steer than with a non-eps model. Probably have no issues short term but I would think that over time you will go through tie rod ends faster from the extra effort needed to steer.

Are you sure the eps motor is dead...might be the relay. If it is, a simple fix
