Wanna first say I love this board. After my neighbor got sick of me always beating up his Trailboss 250, I decided to buy my own. I got an Explorer 250 4x4 and I love it. I know most people go for the 500's and up, but I am a smaller guy (170lbs)and it has all the power I need. I have a pulling problem in the front end and I have come to find out that it may be common with Polaris. So much so I have heard that in the 700's they have fixed the problem. It pulls after backing up in AWD and with the override button enguaged. My first question, is this a fixable problem that Polaris knows about ? My second problem is that it seems to really bogg down when going through water more than 1 ft deep. My best conclusion is that because there is water hitting the hot spots, there must be steam choking the engine. It seems the engine will contine to bogg and sputter till it has burned the steam off. I don't think it's a tuning problem since the enging seems to have alot of excelleration and power, but I wouldn't think this would even happen. So my second question, is this common, is it a tuning problem or what ?? I am running 93 octain and think my next tank will be 89 and see how that does.

Not sure on your pulling problem but I think I can answer your water problem. Imagine how much power it takes to drive fast through 1 foot of water. It takes allot !!! You might just be powering out until it revs enough to the point where there is enough power to get you going faster. You need more bottom end power, you need torque. Even my 500i bogs down in water and mud but as soon as it revs up some, the power comes on and your cruising. Thats my experience with water and mud anyways.
