What kind of OIL do you put in YOUR 4 stroke?
#2
Not running a Polaris, but utilizing Valvoline 20-50 synthetic with great success. Admittedly, there is a lot of discussion, pro and con, regarding synthetics and clutches. My machine is air-cooled, and reasoned the synthetic would fare better with the wide temperature excursions encountered. I still change it every 500 miles, cheap insurance for an expensive toy.

Every racer, mechanic and gear head that I've ever known that wasn't sponsored by an oil company, ( the cost of the oil was coming out of their back pocket ) in every 4 stroke other than alcohol and nitromethanol dragsters and funny cars, used Valvoline products.
Even the ones that were sponsored by another company used Valvoline in all of the shop trucks and their personal vehicles.
I've used Valvoline in everything I've owned right down to my lawnmower, and have never had a problem.
Most important is to keep fresh oil and good filters in / on the engine.
