Hey, I know your probably all sick of hearing about this from me, but I figured I'd give it one more shot. If you could pick between a 2003-04 Z400 and a KFX700, what would you choose?

 

I like to shift so my choice would easily be the Z400!!!!!!! The KFX is to much of a sport utility for me!!!

 

kfx 700 for trail and drags but z400 for jumps and track

 

400 all day long. the 700 is just to big and not sporty enough

 

z all the way.

and automatic???? pft....

 

oh, and the 700's clumsy, oversized, and handles like a shopping cart full of bowling ***** going down a mountain with 3 bad casters XD

 

Z400

 

I owned one of each for 3 years. If you don't mind spending a little green, then the 700 is the way to go.

However, with that said, it really depends on how you want to use them. If you are a MX'er, then the 400 will suit your needs better. Be sure and keep an eye on the upper front shock mounts. For Trails, Dunes or Drags, the 700 is the better choice.

They need to get out more. I don't think these quads look too bad and if you want to know how well they go, ask around.

The Orange KFX800 makes over 250 HP (At the crank) with the Turbo and no NOS. You can dune this quad all day long and it gets better gas milage than a stock KFX.


The Black & Red KFX730 was built to do Tree Shots and Dunes. It has been everywhere and anywhere you can take a quad and does it with little or no effort. To see it is to believe it. To ride it is to make a believer out of those that don't have a clue.

 

Between the two they have both pros and cons. I have ridden both and The KFX700 is nice with good speed and if your not into manual shifts, I would say go the KFX700. The Z400 is a nice atv overall, and a manual shift that has good balance between tricks and trails. I would prefer the Z400 because I am younger and like to have the freedom of a manual and doing tricks. The only negative about the KFX700 is they are kind of bulky but still very nice! Either way you go, they are both great atvs!
