Fuel regulator question
2005 sportsman 700 efi
researched and purchased an equivalent regulator. I pulled the old one out. I noticed a smaller brown oring was left in the regulator housing. The old regulator also had some kind of screen on it. The new regulator has the smaller oring on it but no screen and the screen wouldnt fit on the new one cause of a slightly different diameter at the base. Should i pull the old brown oring out of the housing and leave the oring on the new regulator and install? Or leave the brown and leave the new oring on and install? Is it ok to not have a screen?

If it's an aftermarket regulator designed to go on your machine use the new one with the o-rings supplied. As far as a screen there is a large one at the bottom of the pump. I would have still replaced this with a pump kit that has a new regulator,pump and fuel screen.New Intank EFI Fuel Pump Polaris Ranger 500 700 800 XP 4x4 2006-2010 w/ Strainer | eBay The regulator in a lot places costs as much as the whole kit.
