I have a go kart we got for our little sister. Well it does absolutely nothing when we turn the key. We changes the solenoid. Changed the coil. It has a new battery. It cranks when you cross the solenoid. But the key does nothing. Do i need a new key switch? Theres juice in the battery and on 2 of the solenoid post. I just cant figure out why it wont even turn over. Maybe someone knows whats up.

 

i think most of the gokarts have a safety switch requiring you to press the brake pedal, might give that a try. also check the brake linkage or cable for a switch inline good luck and have fun

 

Okay i will and get back to you. Is there any reason the switch you put the key in would go bad by chance. Cause i didnt replace that

 

all switches can go bad from wear and tear as well as corrosion from being out in the elements
