Default 1998 Polaris 500 selenoid issues

Okay so to start my 500 went down about a month ago. Come to find out it was the stator.

Well as I was reconnecting and putting everything back together, I noticed the threads on both "poles" on the selenoid were stripped. So I took it off and took it apart and put new very similar bolts in.. where the red wire goes into the selenoid, I didn't notice it was attached to anything. Long story short, I can only start the ATV by jumping the selenoid aka skrew driver. I'm wondering what I did wrong? Any ideas?

If you're talking about the small solenoid trigger wire, look up into the harness and you'll find the female or male connector it goes into it. This wire leads to the starter button.

That is the correct wire but where does it connect to or go inside of the selenoid? It has a little loop on it. I'll try and pull the selenoid off and back apart and get a picture.

Should be hard wired into the solenoid or a has small slip on connector as other solenoids have had. Pic would help on the solenoid you have.

Will do. Rain is about to let up and I'm gonna pull her off real quick. I gotta say thanks for telling me flat out I just needed to read a dang manual a few weeks ago. In this month my 500 was down, I carried my manual with me and read it any chance I got. And it was for the best...I almost lost my sanity for real. Lol. Money was too tight to pay someone but I was in dire need of my own fix of riding. I almost fell over the first time she started up a few days ago. Again, thanks. Will post a picture in just a minute
