Default patching hole in carb housing

Just wondering what materials are out good for patching a hole in the carb housing? I've read devcon makes good stuff. Any of you guys have experience with this?

The only Devcon I've ever used was thread locker. I guess it worked as good as Loctite but I can't say for sure. Besides Devcon, Loctite and J-B Weld make products for repairing metal. Check the pull-down menu for Devcon. It looks like some things aren't available in packages of less than 1 pound.

You can find these after market carbs for 35 bucks if it's a 2 stroke carb. 4 stroke carbs aren't too much more. You can remove the manual choke and use your cable operated one in it's place.

Do you know what jets I would need since the airbox has been removed? There was a 200 and a 30 in the old carb.

Put the air box back on...You can get the necessary parts here needed along with the stock carb jet sizes.Polaris ATV Parts

So you think I'm better off to buy a new air box rather than rejetting? The previous owner was a farmer and they have tinkered with this bike and removed and added a bunch of weird stuff. It was given to me.

The manufacturer spent a lot of money to design an air box, that is safe and quiet. I'd check eBay for a used one. JB Weld has the perfect product to fix the hole in the carb, search for liquid steel or liquid aluminum. Epoxy's are very resistant to gasoline.
