if somebody invented 4X4 on a sport quad? What I meant is something that can shift from going from just the rear wheels to a quick all 4 wheels...
For example. I ride a banshee up a steep *** hill, get stuck halfway and hit a switch to make all 4 wheels go.. Would that work?
I dont know. Just a thought. Take you right out of the hole you are stuck on.
I know it would definantly make the sport quads more heavier though.

The Wolverine is a s close as you are going to get, right now (but it has full-time 4X4). Honda is suposed to release a new, light, 2wd/4wd selectable 250. I personally hope they took the concept of a hybrid bike (a REAL sport/ute), and ran with it!!!
Utiltiy bikes really show their work machine heritage (large, heavy, etc.). Most people are just trail riders, and don't need (or want) a huge utiltiy monster (those things get bigger and heavier all the time!). They usually don't need 4wd, but want it there just in case. A sport bike with some ground clearance and selectable 2wd/4wd, is really the bike people would have the most fun on.
