Default Quadzilla 500?

I am unfamiliar with this quad, I have never seen one in person. What are they? (2 or 4 stroke, Suzuki?, when were they made, are they better than a 250R) Any info is good info.

its a suzuki lt500...500cc 2 stroke...basically the fastest quad around..

its not made anymore...it was originally made for MX, but the only 2 stroke that was ever any good in the handling department was the 250R...the 250R is better in EVERY aspect besides a drag race...the 500 murders a 250r in a drag race..the lt500's a great dune bike

these quads are really cool fastest, most stock hp ever on any stock quad. but i consider electric start and reverse to be must haves, so this bikes not for me

Would a LT 500 beat a Banshee in a drag race? What would one of these be worth now?

it would easily take a shee in a drag, stock for stock. ive seen a lot of them selling in the 3200-3800 price range most guys who are selling one are asking about 3500

these are decent quads.... But they do have there share of problems....
Prob... not a good quad for someone who does not know how to work on them...... (high mant. i know this)

But when they run... they run very very well...

yes stock for stock they will smoke a banshee..... no questions..

do just a little work to them (performance wise) and they will be hard to beat with a semi built banshee.....
i know this from exp....

50 H.P stock do just a little porting and the right pipe maybe a carb upgrade your at 65 H.P.

dollar for dollar you cant beat a quadzilla. sure they had some problems but if you fix them they are plenty reliable. i hardly ever had to work on mine and i would beat alot of banshees. mine was putting out 70hp. to get 70hp out of a banshee thats a lot of money
