I have a 03 kfx400, bought it new. Its pretty much stock, pro design air filter adapter with clap on K&N, 14-41 gearing stock pipe. Two of my friends have Z400's, one is modded same as mine, the other has same air filter but has a yoshi slip on and 14-40 gearing. When my bike was completly stock my bike could outrun both of them. We switched riders and same outcome. When I raced the Z with the pipe we were dead even untill 5th gear then I was about 5 mph faster everytime. The other Z would pull me off the line but I would wax him after 3rd. Now I have put the above mods on and I raced the piped Z tonight and I really waxed him, and I still have about 5mph on top end. I know suzuki makes both quads but does the kawi have a little something extra or did I just get a good one????

My raptor was always faster stock than my cousin's. Some are just better than others. HP numbers can vary from one machine to the next.

 

Suzuki may make both of them, but the green or orange plastic, doesn't matter, makes them faster [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img].

Actually, I think the idea of the Monday/Friday thing is more accurate. Strange, but true.
