500 quadrunner final drive

For anyone who owns a 500 quadrunner, check out your final drive to the rear end of the machine. Between the drive shaft and the differential there is an intermediate shaft calle dthe drive shaft coupler, if that seal wears, it allows debris to enter around this shaft, causeing it to strip the gears. I had to wait 6 weeks for new parts. Check it out, save yourself some grief. Ps for anyone asking, the machine was not abused to cause this....

What year Quadrunner do you have and what mileage did you have when rear went? Did you see any sign that it was happening before it went. What should I be looking for?
