Why does the LT500 have a weep hole?
Mine did that at a race, what I did to stop it was I found a stick a little bit bigger then the hole and plugged it with it.it hasn't leaked since and hasn't caused any over heating problem's or any problem's for that matter.I'm not saying to do this just passing on a little trick incase any of you are racing and this happen's to ya.

thats not a good idea...the hole is there for a reason, and that reason is to tell you that the mechanical seal is bad...if u ignore it, i think you can get antifreeze into your crankcase, but im not positive on this. Its not too hard to do, i just called the suzuki dealer and asked for every gasket and seal for the water pump, but then ended up having to get the shaft and impeller too...

500's are going to leak, it is inevidable. When you replace the seals, buy everything including the small washer on the bolt and dont pry the seal from the outside. If all is done right, then you wont have any worries. We have repaired leaking pumps on 3 different Zilla's in the past 3 months. Zukzilla, you should be ashamed of yourself for keeping it that way.
