You have got some serious issues in the bottom of that motor. Where did the pieces come out from? the drain I hope? Or in the filter housing?
Needles to say, I wouldnot try to run it anymore without a good inspection. Id say its damage in the transmission. Maybe a spun bearing.
Or.......are you having problems with a slipping clutch?
Either way, you have some major problem that will need a good inspection. Maybe time for that overhaul.

Good luck!!!!

I bought the twister to try out. I do not like it AT ALL. There is no control. Its like riden a bull. The harder the machine pulls, the more you twist that throttle, the more you twist the throttle, the harder the machine pulls. Next thing you know, you and the quad have swapped purpose.

Thats what I figured, probably has to do with bike not leaning with us in the turns. No thank you..........

My quad has a twist throttle and i dont mind it. it was on there when i got it so i learned with it and i have no problems under hard acceleration. i can do wheelies without putting it on the grab bar. i think the twist has quicker response IMO.

I agree. The twister does have a MUCH faster responce time than the stock thumer. I didnt like the stocker either, so I found a better stock thumb throttle.
I grew up on ATV's and have always used the thumb for my go pedel. I guess I just have a bad case of R.T.C. "Resistance To Change"

Yeah it takes about 1/4 throttle to rev it up to max. you only need wide open when climbing or wanting to get away quickly. i learned to ride on a thumb throttle...but at 11 learned clutch on a '78 RM250. lol

yeah i didnt go very fast on that and never dropped it surprisingly. it was funny watching my dad having to restart about 8 times before i got it moving the first time. i would also say that bike wasnt running up to par...needing a rebuild and/or new reeds n such.
