Default removing paint from aluminum

I want to remove the paint from some of my quadracer's parts to polish them. Any suggestion on what to use? I was thinking a bench grider with a wire wheel?

at Walmart or any other hardware stores there should be stuff in an aresol can called Stripper (hell you can't beat strippers in a can, can you?) It works good for me....strong enough to melt plastic so watch out

Yeah, go with a paint stripper. I went the wire wheel route and it gouges the aluminum, then you have to sand out the gouges. So better off going with a stripper.

Default Patience

My dude has a 02 400 ex and while it was broke down last winter he polished the whole motor fins and all with some great polish call "BLUE MAGIC" not sure where to buy it but it takes paint off and polishes great. His whole motor looks like chrome!! But i will tell you, ya really need patience. do one spot for a while and you will see what i mean. And the trick is keep using cleen part of rag. you will see it turns black. lemme know what ya think!

Cool Removing paint from Aluminum

Hell i got tired of trying to remove the gold color on my rims from my 92 lt250r, and i tried everything i finally found the perfect thing, i would lay my rims in the yard and let them get hot then i would spray them puppies down with good ol oven cleaner it would sizzle the paint right off, well i would let it stand for about 3 minutes then scrub the rims till the gold color was off, then let dry then start polishing them right up.
