hey guys i have a 05 z right now and i love it but i want better suspention and i want more power. so instead of buying all of that im going to get a 450. i dont really know much about 450 so i want some of your guys input on witch one is better. i do lots of desert riding and trails i hit lots of jumps but not mx

 

Personally i would go with the KFX the power is amazing and you can never get bored with them. i had a suzuki and thougth that they were great. then i moved up to Kawasaki to try them out and found myself riding them all the time.

 

ive rode both and liked the ltr450 better. both of them had the big 3. but i dont think the kfx has his efi dialed in right so i think thats why i did like the power in make compaired to the ltr. i need to get on another 1 and try it out to see if it was just that 1 kfx.

The KFX's need some more time to work issues out.

 

I understand the KFX has more HP in the motor but the LT-R has more at the wheels. Am I right or was I told wrong? I have not been beaten by a KFX yet and I have only been riding on MX tracks for a year. BTW I would think that if you do not ride mx at all why not go with the KFX it has reverse gear. Its not as low to the ground and is not as wide as the LT-R. The suspention on the LT-R is far better though. I think the LT-Rs shocks are just as good as KTMs, but that is just me.

 

LTR all the way..... especially if you love Suzuki and your Z ........

I just rode the KFX450 and while it is a nice machine, I don't think the suspension handling are any better then your z400..... it has more power no doubt, but I was not blown away by the handling at all.... I think my z400 is just as good there....

The LTR450 on the other hand in the best handling machine I've ever ridden.... the thing is amazing in stock form....... power-wise it might be the most mild of all the 450s, but with just an exhaust and a Cherry Bomb the thing really comes to life and is very fast.......

I wish Suzuki would put reverse on the 450, but the thing is built for racing MX and you never need it there...... ......

 

I would go with the lt bc the kfx has a lot of problems. Know from exprience

 

are the ltr and kfx motors related at all cuz i kno they hav som sort of deal
