So my friend just bought an 87 Suzuki Lt250r, it was leaking gas out of the overflow tube, so I took the carb off, cleaned it, cleaned the jets, put it back on and it still did it, so I took it back off, adjusted the bracket that the floats push on and it didn’t leak anymore, i ran it for about 20 seconds and then it pinned it at max rpm, turned off key and ignition and unhooked gas and nothing, this is called runaway throttle from what I’ve heard, I had to put in gear and pop clutch to turn off, I’m pretty sure the bracket was too low, and it didn’t have enough fuel in the carb, seems like someone on here said that it happens when the float bowl runs out of gas, but if I raise the bracket anymore, it just leaks, so I told him to get a new carb, but we can’t find any oem ones, I don’t know much about jetting and sizes and stuff like that, so which carb do you guys recommend will be the easiest to get and put on for just normal stock riding? Please need to get one asap
