As an extra thought, ever thought of casting them with a hole to accept a starter motor? That's what Goki used to do. You could cast it to accept a common starter motor such as the one on the LT230E. Only thing is you'd have to get a flywheel similar to the ones Goki had that had a starter ring on them. Maybe a little far fetched, but just thought I'd throw that out there.
