Default Another LT80 Project

Hi All, first of all i would like to say that all the posts on this atv have been extemely helpful. I stumbled on this LT80H model and had to buy it, dont let many deals pass by, wife loves that!! Anyway, my seven year old who usually rides 2 wheels has been bugging me for four, one that runs, lol. This is a nice winter project for us, frame, plastics, are very good shape, tires so so, probably replace them. Engine spins freely, decent compression, engine spind when i jump the starter.

From all the info i got from here and online, i have found..... Starter relay missing, rectifier missing, no cuircit breaker everyone talks about that needs reset at time. Actually no where for it to be or plug in. Wires broken from the safety swith on the brake pedal right at the base so fixing them doesnt look good.

Sooooo, Can i just connect the 2 wires at the safety switch if i want to bypass it? Son is old enough and know how to ride.

Also, any good places to look for the relays at? Internet prices seem to be all over the place.

Thanks!!!!!

Yes you can eliminate the brake switch.
Maybe a used wiring harness off of ebay.
motorsportssupercenter.com has the best prices if you order thru the web. If you call them the price goes up.

Thanks worked perfect. New starter relay 30.00 and a bit of wiring corrections and worked great. Bypassed safety switch for now, worked great. Starts right up. Got a little leak at the cylinder gasket so going to replace that today, might as well while i have it all exposed. Didnt find a rectifier yet but will do with out till i find on. Coil was bad, 175.00 at dealer, passed on that. Tried the one off my DS80 2 wheeler and worked great. I will find a replacement somewhere. Thanks for all your help and threads, great info!!!!
