Default Anyone have Airdam Clutch work?

I have been on a ton of forums and reading a bunch of material so much so that my head is spinning. I dont want this to be a debate about who does what and who is better since I have made my decision.

What I want to know is this: Does anyone have this work done and give an opinion/observation about the difference it makes. I would think there has to be some fellow Suzuki or AC guys out there.

My plan is to get stage one and two for myself sometime in January 2011 for my 500 king (2009)

Here is a link to the website
///Airdam - Suzuki Cluthes

If you search on YouTube there are some vids as well. Almost all AC though.

Im having Tony James doing a #3+ on mine now hope to have it back next week will let you know how i like it.

with the way he dose the 3+ on the pri. sheave, you dont need to do the fixed plate mod. You get the bottom end and keep the same top end.

I think Adam is doing this same mod now aswell

he has a 1-5 and the 5+
The one and two mods will give you more low end grunt with a faster take off.
This is not supposed to effect the top end but then again I am only concerned with 0-35mph since that is where I do most of my "work"
I would appreciate the feed back though.

Will let you know

its the basically the same mod that Adam dose
you just dont need to do the fixed plate mod

when you talk to Adam ask him about this mod, its a new mod thats not on his web site yet.
the sheave is cut the same for low in grunt, but with out the top end lost and no fixed plate mod

they both do the same mods and both of them do great work

if your main concern with 0-35 then do the shim mod your self for $6 and have fun just a thought.

I am pretty sure 1-2 are 150.00 and besides my belt tends to slip so I think if it sits lower it will have better bite. Airdam also treats his parts with some kind of anti slip to further correct that King slippage.
I saw EPI has a neutral colored spring (only one avail) for the 500 just waiting on a reply from Adam to see if it is necessary.
My buddy did his Grizz 550 with Mad Mike and he is really happy so I figure I cant go wrong.
This mod will help with back shift as well.

As for the links I will check them out but I probably have read them already since I have spend about 6-7 hours reading up on this stuff before I decided to pull the trigger.

And yes with 1-2 you do not lose any top end it is when you go 3+ you gain top end.

Looked at the links
I am familiar with the cooper mod. He sold his technique to Mad Mike and he is the one doing it now the same way. He is known for his work on the Grizz where Airdam is more known for the AC and Suzuki.

Ok called Adam at Airdam and he is going to send me an invoce since I am going to get lighter rollers as well when he does mod 1+2.
180 for 1+2 plus 50 for the x8 rollers. (rollers not listed ont he site)
Adam told me my King in high will start out 17-20 lower with a smooth but faster take off with better mid range power.
My intent is to not stop and put the ride in low before hitting a short steep hill. (or the long one's for that matter)
I posted this info to keep it fresh since I didnt hear anything from any other riders about this mod.
My final question would be do I need the natural colored spring from EPI and I will wait back to hear from Adam since I forgot to ask him while I had him on the phone.
