Default 87 lt 250. Possible 4wd conversion?

I've got this machine in the garage and I'm looking for another 4x4 quad for the wife to drive around. So, I've been doing some googling and haven't come up anything really. I do see a plug on the front side of the existing motor that looks about the size of a driveshaft.

Anybody know if this is even possible? I don't mind putting a few hundred bucks into it vs. Spending $1000 + on another machine that may need work. Its been a good little machine and it's about the perfect size for the wife.

You will be ahead buying a used 4x4. Should be able to find a used KingQuad 250/300 cheap, they are easy to work on and pretty tough machines, down side for wife is they are only available in manual trannys (may not be a problem for yours)

I had a 88 4x4 and I think you have the 2wd version.
Unless you are very lucky to find a 4x4 that's wrecked, I agree that you'd be better off buying a 4x4.
