Default bent frame

I guess I should of taken a picture but you Kingquad guys will know where im talking about. The little piece where you hook the back rack to, it has two bolts and there are two of these pieces one on either side of the brake light. Well my bike was rolled into a tree backwards by the PO and that frame piece and ofcourse the rack are bent pretty good. I have a new/used rack coming and want to try and straighten the frame piece first. I have tried whacking it with a hammer but that didnt do much if anything except mar the metal. Any ideas on how I could bend this piece back to its upright position? thanks !!

Step 1 go to harbor freight and get yourself a 4000lb come along winch. About 30 bucks and attach it to a tree and the quad. Anchor the quad via rope chain ect to your truck another tree. you get the point.

Pull the rack bracket out 1/4 inch beyond where you want it release the preasure and it should pop back about where you need it. This assumes there is no kink.

If you dont want to buy a come along use another quad and attatch that to an anchor if necessary and pull.
Remember you have to pull out the same general direction the damage went in. That said you may have elevation/angle issues with another quad that will need to be dealt with.

********
The better approach is take it to a shop and pay them a few bucks to pull out the bend with the proper equipment.
