Default Differences in Quadsports

Hello all,

I have a quad in pieces with no orgnaization of the parts whatsoever. It is an '87 230s. Since I am looking to buy another quad I figure I can buy another QS and use it as a road-map to assemble my current machine.

I know there are some dimensional differences between the 85-86 models and the 87-88's, but are those the only differences?

If I buy an '85/'86, will this be assembled just like my '87?

If there are differences between these, can I buy an '88 or does it have to be an '87 to get a match. I only ask because my mechancial aptitude is roughly the same as a rock - maybe less so, and I have parts, nuts, bolts, etc in boxes.

Thanks!

Ya the quads frames are a lil diffrent and they hold diffrent oil amounts. Here is a site that hold all info to the QS and there are plenty of people willing to help on this website. Also feel free to join up in the big QS thread.

the only difference is the frame. the frame is wider and longer. all 230s engine components are compatible. if you need any help just PM me or leave a visitor message.
