Default lt250r motor mods or swap questions

Hey guys got a couple question. First what i am thinking. I love my 250r just hate the lack of low end cause i do a ton of trail riding and not so much open throttle stuff. Ok now my questions.

Would a motor swap to a 4 stroke be better than moding the stock motor to try and get more low end?

What 4 strokes would fit or What mods should i look at?

I have searched into motor swaps for the lt250r and most people go with either the lt500 motor or do something crazy. I don't need a ton of speed just looking to get a little more down low for trails.

Probably by the time you spend the money on an engine and modding the frame to accept a 4 stroke you could just buy a 4 stroke quad and leave that classic whole.

Yea I agree. If you have an lt250, you would probably like the LT230s. I have one and they are really fun. Usually you can find one for around $800. That would be cheaper then getting a motor and trying to mash it into there. I tried to do that once, and quit. I got stuck on tuning the carb, and lining the sprockets up.

Being a 2 stroke, the pipe has a HUGE influence on where power is made in the powerband. I would look into the FMF Gnarly pipe or something along those lines. A few other things you could try, put a 1 tooth smaller front sprocket on(or go up 3 teeth on the rear,) start running a higher compression piston, look into boring that bad boy out.

Yeah i have a lt250e quad runner to. Its the womans rig. I was looking today cause the bike seemed loud sound some holes in the pipe that might explain a bit. Cause its a pretty big hole. So i think a pipe will be on the menu very soon. What pipe would be good for it with out getting to loud with the 2 stroke sound?
