Thumbs down Help. 450 King quad or grizzly?

its that simple.
second hand. . 2009-2010.
450 is what I need. . independent diff lock etc etc
but which to go for?
more from a long term work horse viewpoint than a fun machine, but I fully intend to enjoy it.

setting preferences aside, both good machines. Whatever is more comfortable, and whatever you can find a good deal on.

Their only big difference is the 450KQ is a full size chassis while the 450 Grizzly is a slightly smaller Mid size chassis.

well I though in the interest of balance. . id ask the question in both camps. .
chassis size seems to be the only thing to separate em?
in which case the grizzly wins cos I got a lot of trees. .

full size chassis has the advantage of more ground clearance which is huge if you plan on riding in any mud. the width of mid and full size is pretty much the same, my Suzuki is only maybe 2-3 inch wider then my Honda

The two have almost the same ground clearance. The smaller grizzly has slightly more G.C. 10.8" vs 10.2" infact.
2008 Yamaha Grizzly 450 Auto. 4x4 ATVs

Tire hight, IRS and suspension travel dictates ground clearance not the physical size of the ATV.

Full sized chassis are roomier for a larger rider or carrying a passenger and cargo load space on the racks than Mid size.

Mid size have less of a turning radius . They can do a u-turn where a full size may need a two point turn.
