Default Wondering which winch??

Howdy, looking to buy a winch for my King Quad. My hope is to use it to drag trees out of the woods for fire, milling, etc. Today there's a 70% off sale at the cheap tool store (H/F) but I despise wasting money, so is there a few brands that you recommend?...and I'm not sure what capacity I should get? Any tips would be great.

I recommend Warn, or Superwinch. Both have good customer service. With a King Quad I'd recommend around the 2500-3000 lb. range. If you're stuck in mud or snow you'll appreciate the extra power. Cabelas has some good deals on Superwinch. There is another couple of companies, but for the life of me, I can't remember their names.

I have never bought the overpriced name brand winches.. Always used the aftermarket/cheaper ones with no troubles. I would get the 3500lb one. Bette to go bigger then find out its under powered. If you plane on towing trees out of the bush with it i would used the winch to pull the tree to were you want and then use a strap or sling to tow the tree out.. Winches were never designed to tow things.
