Default Suzuki Eiger Tire Size Suggestion

I have a 2003 Suzuki Eiger I need to replace the stock tires on. Stock sizes are 25x8x12 front and 25x10x12 rear. Most of my riding will be in the Nevada mountains; dirt, rocks, some snow, and very little mud. It seems the general consesus is to keep the stock tire size. I have read that some people are running 25x10x12 on all fours and seem to like it. I have also read some people are running a narrower 25x9x12 on all fours and swear this is the best setup. Does anyone have any advise?

Thanks!

Don,t go to wide in the front it will just make the steering harder. 9" wide fronts would be my limit.
The rears don't matter as much so 10" or 11" would be fine.

My smaller Yamaha 350 (348cc) Grizzly has front 26x9-12 and rear 26x11-12 Maxxis Zillas and handled them very well.
And the 350 did not even have a low range unlike the Eiger.

Thanks for your opinion. That settles it then, no 10" wide on the front. I am still debating 9" wide on the front though. The 8" wide fronts I have now can get a little squirrely, I am thinking 9" fronts might give me a little more stability. Thanks again.

Narrower tires would be good if your not going too much on mud, less that 10" wide you are more on speed. Check out this Suzuki ITP tire kits, Terracross or Mud lite are good choices.

Thanks. I picked up some Duro Power Grip's and I stuck with the stock size.
