Default 1985 Suzuki LT230GE

Hello I recently purchased a 1985 Suzuki LT230GE and it does start and run after a long time of pulling or electric start and i noticed it also besides from it taking awhile to start there is gas leaking out of the carb overflow line I was wondering if anyone knows how to fix this issue?

Probably a worn needle and seat, float level could be off also. I'd install a new carb kit and not just try to clean it. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Suzuki-LT230GE-Quadrunner-1985-1986-CARBURETOR-Carb-Rebuild-Kit-Repair-LT-230GE-/180884911457?hash=item2a1d94b561&vxp=mtr

I took off the carb and replaced the needle and adjusted the floats a bit and sprayed some carb cleaner down the jet seems to run much better now
