Hey guys needing a little help.
My 230 will start fine but once half into the throttle it starts misfiring and cutting out. Thinking it's something electrical and have tested the stator was shows good. Could it be the CDI box? If so, my dealer says the OME has been discontinued and no aftermarket option. Have any of you ran into this issue before and what did you do?
Thanks

Fit a new plug. If that doesn't cure it clean the carb out, far more likely to be this than electrical problems. If it still gives trouble, it is still more likely to be coil or stator than CDI.
No idea why as, in theory, the whole charging/battery system should be completely separate to the ignition circuit, but an overcharging regulator can cause misfiring. Check that the voltage doesn't go above 15v across the battery, with engine running at various RPM.
