Default 87 moto-4 225 stator

how do you test a stator to see if it good and how much voltage should be going to the battery? I have a charging problem.

Make sure all connections are good, battery connections tight. If unsure about the battery have it load tested. At an idle should be charging between 13.5-14.5 volts back to the battery. If not could be a regulator/rectifier most likely or possibly the stator. See if this helps you on the stator ac test.
"If you want to test your stator, disconnect it from the regulator and run the bike. With a VOM set at AC check for current between each stator lead. It should read between 50 and 60V AC. Then turn off the machine and while the stator is disconnected, test for continuity between the stator leads. If either shows continuity between each other or to ground on the bike, the stator is toast." This is reportedly from someone that has the Moto 4 225 manual..
