2001 Yamaha bear tracker tried everything no spark!
My pick up coil is reading 220 ohms, stator is reading good, new CDI box, getting a small reading to coil but but apparently not enough to create a spark, battery is too low to turn over with starter but been using pull start and nothing, checked kill switch and it's ok...any ideas at all would help out a lot!!

I tried charging the battery but it won't take I just really didn't want to spend money on a battery if I can't figure out the spark issue. Do you think it would need a descent battery even if I was pull starting it? I read on a couple sites that some won't start without a minimal of 4 volts on the battery. But I'm gonna try to jump it when I get home. I will let you know what it does thanks for the reply.

I'd get a new battery as sr.ruedas mentioned. Not a Yamaha tech but believe these have to have good voltage for the ignition whether pull starting or electric start. Jumping a dead battery or one that can't hold a charge is asking for trouble if you have spikes. Can hurt the electronics. Plus when you do get it started check voltage at the battery at an idle. Should be around 14 volts or over if the regulator is working properly.
