Default Warn Winch wiring

Older warn winch with 4 post solonoid dial switch can't figure out how to wire handle bar switch. Can I go thru the solonoid or thru the dial switch? Handle bar switch has 3 wires.

One wire goes to ignition switch on/off so it cant be run without the key on, other two to solenoid, that is the way my KFI is run. From what I have seen they all seem to be the same.

I don't think it will work with both switches hooked up. I would toss the dial switch in the trash if the handlebar switch is the right one.

Didn't catch the part about the dial switch....not familiar with that. On my KFI I have a dash switch and added a remote switch and it was just a plug and play except for that darn ignition wire that took hours to snake thru the frame.

The Warn Installation Guide, page 7, has a pictograph that roughly describes the basic wiring of a winch install.

It may help you...
