Default Lt230 clutch pinion shaft.

Hi guys im new to this quad and any quads at this point have 3 not running in garage as we speak. I recently bought a 1985 lt230 kickstart manual. The previous owner threw the chain about 2 years ago and never fixed. I bought it and repaired everything. And stripped and powder coated everything i could. Turned out great! Well now when i try to put clutch actuator shaft in it will not spring back at all. Any help would be great. I bought for my son for christmas and would have had it done if it wasnt for this stinking clutch. Maybe stuck clutch pack?

If you go to <suzukipartshouse.com> you can look at a parts break down. Perhaps you'll see what you missed. gl

I got it figured out. I never took the clutch cover off so I didn't know there was an issue inside. Well it turns out the little e clip was broken on the shaft that come out of the clutch pack. $1.49 and a bunch of bad evenings later its fixed! Thanks for the reply. I was just hesitant to pull clutch cover off and if i would have done so sooner it wouldn't have been such a headache
