Or a Government Motors. Next truck has to be a Ford!

MotoTread LOL, I remember when they awarded the Honda Ridgeliner the truck of the year in 2006, with its car like uni-body and smushy coil sprung IRS rear end and a box that could barely fit a lawn tractor and only come in a V6, it has the least towing and load capacity of any truck made even against a mid size trucks with a real frame and left sprung soild axle.

Not saying the Honda is not a nice "what ever it is" but its like naming a snowmolibe "ATV of the year".

No offense to any owners, I'm sure it is a practical vehicle for a lot of folks, but I don't think most people would even consider it a truck.

Kind of a Minivan El-Camino cross breed...

Anyway, HD trucks generally have a gross vehicle weight rating of 9,000 to 12,000 pounds and a combined rating up around 26,000, so it's kind of comparing apples and oranges.

Can't remember where I saw it, but they had the Ridgeliner's tag line as:

Strong enough for a man, but made for a woman.

Speaking of El Camino's, am I the only one that thinks making those or Ranchero's again would be a good thing?

Put it on a decent car frame for a nice ride, still have towing capability of a Ranger or similar. Heck, I'd buy one.

Thats what I mean about Motor trend ,I don't think they have anyone working there that knows anything about vehicles.

When something that has nothing bigger then a 3.5 V6 motor wins "2006 Truck of the year",you should get you vehicle info elsewhere.

I was there before the first Ram. 91 full size Bronco Eddie Bauer. 351 performance pkg, 10.50 31 real all terrain tires, trailer pkg. They called them a SUV when that became "in", but they were all TRUCK! Not a suburbanite wifey's grocery getter. Wish they still made them.
