Default Rancher 350te not enough fuel to carb

Ok I bought a 2002 honda rancher 350te. It ran fine for a while. Through trails at low speeds. Got on a dirt road and in 4th gear it back fired and died. Let sit for a few min and it would start run for a min and do it again. I noticed the fuel line was old. I replaced fuel line installed in line filter. I noticed fuel rushing out when disconnected from carb but stopped flowing when fuel line hooked back up. With it running and watching the filter the atv is using gas faster than its getting to the filter. Any ideas for the fix?
