First Time in the Mudhole

First Time in the Mudhole
This was my first time in one of the mudholes at Tahuya State Forest, in Belfair, WA. Outing with The Organ Donors.... just after a quad vs. tree incident by one of our riders. The tree won, rider was relatively unhurt, quad was DRT.... dead right there!
So.... we all played in the mud! I can say that I didn't get stuck, but not all could say the same!
This is my first post, so not sure of the photo workings......

First Time in the Mudhole
Thanks for the welcomes and encouragement! This looks like a good place to learn and share info. We have been on quads for right around two years now, and getting more comfortable with stepping out of our comfort zone just a bit from time to time.
Yes, the photo is me on my 07 Wolverine 450, and my wife took the photo. I submitted it to Dirt Wheels magazine, and they actually published it!! The mudhole wasn't all that big, but had grown with the recent rain (typical in Washington). Most of us were able to get through the deep spot, so I upped the bar a notch by getting out on the little tree island in the middle, and dropping smack dab into the deep part and powering my way out of the "puddle". Of course, that just threw down the gauntlet, and EVERYBODY was in on it then.
Now, a few months later I actually got the little critter stuck HARD in a mudhole meant for 4-wheelers (no, of course I didn't know how deep and sloppy it was until I was in the middle of it!). Had to get towed out that time.... but darn it, no pics! Bummer.
Again, thanks, and I'll try to be an ACTIVE forum member..... like on Savage Shooters, my other favorite forum site.
Cheers!
