Default stuck in the snow

The snow is was just over 3' deep, I just didn't know it until it was too late.

It took me bit of work just to get it our of the hole it dug.

I never leave home without this little Sierra Saw.

I cut branches off a pinion pine.

I layed them out on the snow and built me a branch road across the snow.
I'd move the ATV a few feet and then move the branches in front of the tires.

It took me a few hours but I got out before dark.

Right there. LOL

One of my stupid days. I was out by myself and wanted to check out those mines.

I was working my way up the switch-backs and fell into a drift.

Not much to hook a winch to and the one I had was busted, I actually just put on a new one this morning.

I live in Marysvale Utah, the center of the Paiute Trail. Those are old uranium mines and they are all over, I just had never
been right up to these particular mines.

I think I would have put the branches behind the quad, Specta. And backed on out of there.

It was a tough choice. I originally turned down hill because I knew I couldn't get back onto the road when I first slid
into the drift, I turned down hill and hit it as hard as I could, I went about 3 feet when I came to a stop. LOL

The picture doesn't really show how deep the tires had dug and how big of a step it was to go back up or really how
steep it was, so I went down.

I got it now. The proverbial rock and a hard place. Only hill and deep snow.
