Default taking motor out (wolverine)

what is the best way to take the motor out of this thing,do i leave the front plastic on and the tank on or remove .also what side does it come out,and any info that could help .thease are the mods that im getting and what do u think,hot cam /wiseco,pistoin bore oversize,jet kit ,filter,porting,and what is a good pipe is hmf good i need some low end and where is micky dunlops shop at .i go to kentucky almost every week so is there any shop along the way to get my parts i already have the filter and jet kit .looking for a pipe and cam and a pistion the porting i will get pro teck to do so help is needede thank alot dave from canadia eh

You dont have to pull the motor to get the head off. Just take off the front fender and gas tank.You can pull the head and get to the piston without taking the engine off the frame.

what about the cam same just the head all the mods im doing just take the head off thanks dave

You can change the cam without taking the head off. It just slides in behind the breather case. Mickey's shop is in Hyndman Pa., a long way from Kentucky. To put the piston in, you will have to take the cyilnder off, that means that you will probably need new dowel pins and gaskets. Other than that, its really now a hard operation. Dont do the porting yourself though, you will mess it up, its best to have it sent away and dont the right way. If you have any other questions let me know.

but should i take it out so my guy can look at it to see if it needs anything else do those mods sound good or what lol,and i go through pa .i go through 8 different states to get to kentucky is it really off the betten path ,i would like to talk to micky and see what he thinks and mybe get my parts from him how much is like a hot cam, piston bore oversize( us prices )

Drac1 - The mods dont sound bad. It will boost you up pretty good. There is nothing wrong taking it out and then taking it to the mechanic, you wont mess anything up by doing that. Mickey's number is (814) 842-6159 Call him Mon-Fri 4-7pm eastcoast times. He will be able to tell you just about anything about it. He also sells the manual clutch conv.
