Default Warrior 350 Upgrades

I have an '02 Warrior 350, completely stock. Is there really one major thing I can do to improve it? I don't want to put much money into it, but if there's one or two things I can do to really make it a better machine, I'd like to. I use it for trail riding in Alabama.

HMF Slip-On pipe for around $200 and a jet kit is a pretty good improvement, and go ahead and get a K&N Air Filter (around $40) to get the air flowing.

A Web Camshafts .430" lift cam and new valve springs will make a big difference too, but between those two you are talking another $200, but it is a very worthwhile investment. That cam REQUIRES new springs.

First and foremost, however, is replace those stock tires if you haven't already.

Check this thread out: http://forums.atvconnection.co...tid/13/threadid/531002 for some recent mods I did.

Yeah there's not just ONE thing you can do to make it better. The Warrior could use a lot improvements over stock for aggressive trail riding. The mods beefy mentioned will help engine performance and some aftermarket front shocks will work wonders and not beat you to death so bad.

Yeah, there's really not just one thing that will make a warrior perform better in every category, EXCEPT for a good set of tires. With a good set of tires you can get better traction, therefore more acceleration and better cornering, and the right set of tires will actually improve ride quality and maybe even shed a few pounds over the stockers.

Other than that though, be warned that modding a warrior is a vicious cycle. I started with basic power mods and new tires, then came the bolt-on body parts like the bumpers, skid plates, nerf bars, etc. Then I was riding faster so I needed better suspension, so got aftermarket a-arms and shocks. Then I had better suspsnsion so I was once again at the point of needing more power, threw on the edelbrock carb, high compression piston, and got the head ported. Now I got to the point I was riding so fast that my new tires were already bald, and I hit a tree, now I need new tires and a new bumper. I've now reached the 2nd cycle in my suspension mods, replacing my works shocks with TCS shocks, and replaced the rear shock with a PEP shock. Then got some new nerfs because my old ones got the crap beat out of them, and got some IMS pegs. I've got to the point that i've probably got more than $4000 tied up in aftermarket stuff on this warrior, and there's no end in sight. I still want a 400 stroker kit, megacycle cam and titanium springs, dynatek cdi, RPM axle, and i'm sure by the time I get those I'll have more on the shopping list. It's sort of a sickness.

Holeshot GNCC. They are lightweight, hook up great on trails, and are a rugged 6 ply. We weighed them against a very lightweight Ohtsu 501 (factory 400EX tire) and the GNCC only weighed a few ounces more than the 501. 20x10x9 for rear and 21x7x10 for the front.

Yea I have the holeshot GNCC tires and i love em. like raptor said they hook up real well and with them being a 6 ply rating they are harder to puncture. i got them in a pakage deal so i got the GNCC tires mounted on ITP t-9 pro series aluminum wheels 20/10/9 rear. going to get fronts soon.

ohh one more thing...... sometimes leaning forward aint enough to keep my front end down with these tires lol.
