I'd say it would depend on the tire and how much it weights. Just going to a 25" tire won't rob you of much power since this engine/transmission combo comes with 25" tires on everything but the wolverine. You will gain some top end speed (thought your speedometer will say otherwise) and gain ground clearance. I'd say if you can afford it get a second set of wheels and tires (what I plan on doing) and swap them out when the weather calls for it. The Maxxis Zilla will be my pic since they're really light and look like a great tire.

They're actually not that light honestly. The Mudlite XL, Dirt Devil II and Interco Swamplite are all lighter than the ATRs and they're not even the lightest 25" tires on the market.
