My raptor won't start. The starter will only turn the engine once. Then when i press the start button, all i here is clicks. and my cables start smoking. I replace the starter with a new one. Same thing happens. I installed a new relay, still nothing. I jumped the starter directly with a car battery, same thing. I took off the cover and all the gears seemed fine. I was able to spin the big gear on the started clutch clockwise. but when i try to turn it counter clockwise it starts turning the engine.

I honestly dont have a clue. The only thing I would suggest it to take the spark plug out so that there is no compression and see if it still wont turn over.

Other than that, here is a bump for ya. Hope you get it fixed!

Was this problem the Decompression Cam inside the Head???
