Barnett Clutch or EBC Clutch kits??
Now I have been looking around the net..And just as I thought most people hate on and love the others lol..Now these are pretty much my only 2 choices for my 03 Wolverine, that I have found anyway..The springs on both are about the same 10% stiffer than OEM..The Barnett plates use Kevlar and the EBC use cork mixture in their plates..The Barnett comes with the steels and the EBC does not..The Barnett is about 110.00 and the EBC is around 80.00 shipped..
I have been reading a lot about the Kevlar breaking off the plates on the Barnett,But I also hear the EBC plates expand a little after soaking in oil for a wile..The steels I dont really care about (don't need them) I raced a YZ250F in Harescrambles for more than a few years with a Rekluse Auto Clutch and never even seen a scratch of my steels..The reason why I ask I bought brake pads off ebay made of Kevlar pads and had the same problem, they just break in half or off..
But I got most of my info from street bike forums,I was wondering what us ATV riders think..

I would personally stay away from any kind of a kevlar clutch. It works good when it works right, but if a kevlar starts slipping and gets smoked you're going to reach a whole new level of fun repairing your engine. When kevlar clutches get torn up they release these sand-like particles into your oil, which is the last thing you want getting circulated through your bearings and everything else. Cork clutches won't do that.
