Banshee or Raptor700???
'06 was the last year you could get a new Banshee: So if you buying new I guess you'll have to get the 700R. I have had 2 of them so far '06 and '07SE and I like them a lot better than the 660R's I had in the past

You should get the quad that best fits your riding habits not which is faster stock. The 700 is a powerful great all around quad. The banshee is good for dunes, thats about it. The shee is also pretty weak stock. My 400ex could out run a stock one. Put a set a pipes on her and my piped 450 will have problems with it.

Banshee or Raptor700???
the raptor is a much better all around quad. it will have much more hp than the banshee. i know a stock shee has around 34 hp to the wheels. im not a shee person myself so i dont know the hp # on a piped shee(i whould guess in the mid 40s) but i know a piped raptor with barker duals , K&N intake , and a power commander 3 can produce 54 hp and a ton of torque. the raptor frame and suspestion are far better than the shee also. another thing to think of is because a 2-stroke it will stuck a ton of gas and the gas will cost you more because you have to put 2-stroke oil in it which drives up the price almost a dollar a gallon.
but the shee weigh less. and when tricked out all the way there is almost no way to keep up with them.

pipe for pipe the banshee will probably lose (of course, so much is dependent on the rider), but once you get into the motor (pretty easy on a shee) the hp numbers go through the roof for the banshee ... thats why you see so many 60+ hp banshees roaming around: port work is like magic, and its not expensive to do. If you plan on going fast in a relatively straight line, and also plan to add more than simple bolt ons, the banshee will get you much further for less $$. however, if you want to ride some trails and and really want efi, and only plan on putting on a pipe and a power commander like the rest of them, go for a rappy.
