Default 03 wolverine

hey. I own a 2003 Yamaha Wolverine 350. The only thing I would like to change is the speed. I would like more power and speed. Does anyone have any suggestions on an upgrade that could help me out and not kill my checkbook?

first thing you can do is get a K&N air filter so it can breathe better and an after market exuahst. the filter will cost you about 40 bucks roughly. and depending on what kind of pipe the prices vary. the cheapest ones i've seen run about 200-300 bucks. but it's worth it.

now if you get a pipe you will have to rejet it. if your mechanically inclined you can do this stuff yourself to save more money. it will cost you and arm and a leg if you have a shop do it.

see my list...It will cost you though, their are no cheap "go fast mod" in this sport..But do yourself a favor and NOT use a K&N air filter, you will be cleaning your carb 10 times a year..

Best Mod ever for a 03 Wolverine is the Warn 424 Select,it lets you unlock the front wheels and makes your Wolvy 2 wheel drive, those are about $300.00 and a whole new sport aspect to the Wolverine..25" tires are also a good start, you will lose a little bottom end but gain a little at the top..Your 350 Wolverine will never be "fast" in the quad world, but it is one of the best sport/utes ever made, you have the best of both worlds..HMF pipes are cheap and best buy for the money, use a foam filter,I have about $2000.00 into mine but I bought mine as junk for 1000.00..It climbs any hill I want,I can jump 10ft table tops..I can plow through 3 ft of thick mud, never get stuck in ruts..and also can go as fast as I can handle without killing my-self..So its all up to you what you want to do with your Wolverine..You want to beat people in a 1/4 mile go get a yzf or a Raptor..But I must say I've used my winch to save the *** of plenty of racing quads from places they should not be,buy my Wolvy can hold it own on a track..

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a K&N. They are GREAT filters, and the only reason one would need to constantly clean their carb is if they didn't oil the filter, and that will happen with any air filter. Probably somewhere between 5-8 horsepower in gains. You will feel a difference.
