Banshee vs KFX 400?
stock vs stock...both experienced riders....who should win?
I'm getting the 400 and my buddy is most likely getting the Banshee.
I've heard banshee's scream, but spin and can't put it down to the ground.
I've heard 400's are wheelie machines, so they should hook up decently.
Anyone ever had a race like this? I'm just curious because it should be soon when this race happens.

yes straight line if the banshee can get it down, which i doubt it because my banshee is just stupid hungry for traction, on track they dont do as good as the 400s but in trail man i tell ya if you can ride a banshee you can probably do better then it, just nobody is really man and machine with a banshee in a mud trail, it was my first manual quad and all i know to do with now is keep it in the higher rpms and my buddies 07 400 is usually behind me getting mud in his eye, but on paved road or hard packed dirt, my piped and filtered shee out runs my buddies 700r with maxxis 22 on the back, slip on , power programer, and filter and i usually leave him once i hit 2nd and it just keeps going and going, but if i had to choose a trail bike instead of what i have it would possibly be a 400 or yfz450, then last would be 700r

oh i feel ya on that...thanks the opinions guys.
my buddy's 660 raptor is a beast on straight aways, but I think it would be boring in the trails because you'd never get past 2rd or 3rd gear.
I love my mojave for zip around in the tight curves/turns, but i'm so used to it, i just want something else. I think it's time to get the Mojave built up.

If your used to a Mojave, get the 400, or maybe even 450r. first off the powerband will proabably kill you if your not used to it on a shee. But if your youve ridin 2 strokes you could proabably handle the shees powerband, but then the suspension is well as old as I am, so you'd still be better off with a 400 or 450r. I myself don't like the bigbore 4 strokes in sport quads. I can trial ride on my buddies yfz 450 all day and out run all the raptors out there, but then agian can do the same on my warrior, also arkaic(sp).
If your buying a brand new quad then i would definately suggest staying away from the shee, they are just too far beyond in the times, but if your buying a used bike, it could be a diffrent story if you can pick one up at a reasonable price. But around here (Arkansas) everybody wants a arm and a leg for a banshee.

Banshee vs KFX 400?
Banshee's are great for high reving drag races and not much else. They are small and have crappy suspension. The Banshee would not even exist if not for its engine. You Banshee guys will probably frown on this but you know its true. Every bad *** Banshee you see is strictly for drags for a reason. They are poorly equipped for anything else. But every quad has its place. I have no experience in a trails race against the two, but I think the 400 would outperform the banshee's suspension and low end performance which is needed on the trails.

If you plan on trial riding I wouldn't suggest buying the banshee, Get a 400 something. he 400ex is tried and true, not to sure about the others, but have heard good reviews on the z400, and then there is the new ktm 525, even though its of the orange team they look pretty bad ***. And with the suspension biegn complety adjustable to you hey how could you go wrong.
