Wolverine 350- what shocks will fit from other Yamahas?
I think I may have blown my rear shock on my 03 wolverine. It rebounds incredibly slow, and it seems like I'm not getting anywhere near full travel. So, I am looking for a replacement shock, and possibly an upgrade.
I've been scouring ebay for wolverine shocks, but I've lost on any that I have seen come up. I was wondering if there are any other stock rear shocks that will fit on the wolverine? Like from the bruin, kodiak, raptor, or anything else.
I've heard that raptor rear shocks fit, but only certain years. Does anyone know what years and what size (350, 660 etc) of raptor will fit on a 03 wolverine 350?
Thanks

Your only options for the 95-04 Wolverines are either Works Performance shocks, these are pretty good shocks, way above a OEM upgrade on the Wolvy,A set will cost you $1000 to $1500 and are great for all trail riding and jumping up to 10ft..

Or you can look at ELKA's they are great shocks for all conditions, they will cost you $1500 to $2500,Yeah thats what your wolvy's worth ..
Or maybe FOX Shox, not shure if they make one for the Wolvy but they are the same price of the ELKA's
And your last option is to have them made by a suspension guy,but they make racing shocks and cost a mint..
I've been looking at my best options for my money for 2 months now and I went with
Works Performance,for the front I got a pair of A-T Steelers,With Dual-Rate Springs,Threaded pre-load powder coated black and white..
And the rear(you have to get)QuadStar series,I got the one with Remote reservoir, also black springs..I got the guy to throw in a set of shock socks for all of them for $1038 shipped..
Good luck you will need it..No other OEM shock that will fit with the 03 Wolvy is worth buying..I checked and re-checked..All Of Yamaha's OEM shocks are ****,Even the YFZ,most of those guys buy ELKA's and have them set up with a suspension guy,but even the OEM wont fit,I've heard the 660 Raptor's OEM's will fit the 03 Wolvy, but they suck, plus a set will cost you abot $600..

Yeah, I just don't want to put that much money into it is the thing. I'd like to keep it around $200 or so, so used OEM is about my only option. I just can't justify spending half as much on suspension as the wolvy cost me.
I'm really interested in getting a raptor rear shock for it, as there seems to be quite a few of them on ebay and seems like it would be somewhat of an upgrade, so if anyone knows what years/models raptor OEM rear shock would fit that would be awesome. Or if any other OEM shocks would fit, anythings got to be better than a blown shock

I am told that the Raptor 660 rear shock will fit on another site,But I know no one that has done this and it looks way different than the Wolverines shock..I looked at a 03 Raptor 660 Schemtic from here..

Note the price $466.00 with shipping about $500.00..Now I can not even say that shock will work..The Works Performance,Quadstar without the remote reservoir costs $561.00 and is made for your weight, your quad and your riding conditions..I would never buy a used shock, you are rolling the dice on that one..
