Default Removing the head of a Raptor

I have the change the decompression cams in my 660R. I was just wondering if I had to use Yamaha's sealant to put the head back on or could I just use high temp black RTV? Also has anyone done this repair. Is it straight farward? Do i have to remove the cam? Thanks alot guys.

I haven't done this repair, but I did take my head off recently and used regular grey RTV sealant for the cover with no problems. I would think you do have to remove the cam to get to the decompression mechanism.
