You are running lean, either not enough fuel or too much air, or a combination of both. You could be sucking air from somewhere like from a bad seal at the base cylinder gasket or reed valve gasket which could also cause it to idle high.

Your gas/oil mixture could be off as well. If you are not running enough oil, you will get some meltage.

Maybe but I would bet your problem is you are just to lean. With pipes, reeds, and larger piston there is no way you should be running stock jetting.

We had a problem just like the one listed here. It ended up being a broke engine case that was sucking air and wouldn't let it idle down. I agree with the post above that with all the work stock jets are not probably good enough, but I am not sure that would affect your idle. Usually when it will not idle down there is an air leak somewhere.

With the overbore, aftermarket pipe and new reeds I bet your running very lean with stock jets.
Definatly check all conections and make sure everything is sealed correctly, but I'd bump the jets up maybe 2 sizes and work your way down. Always better to be rich than lean.

What mods have you done to the intake? Aftermarket filter? open airbox?
