Default warrior 750 quad

I finally got my project quad able to go riding yes!!! It is my second bike that I keep around forever because I blew the tranny. It's a 1996 Yamaha warrior and, I installed a 1993 honda vfr750 motor in it. We will see how it will do this weekend in the dunes, but on the street you can't keep the front end on the ground. So a swing arm is probally in my future, if any has an idea how long of a swing arm I might need that would be great also any idea's on the paddles too. A little info on the engine for those that don't know about it, I chose it because of it pretty level power ban and excellent torque, besides there's nothing like the sound of a v4 . It's a v4 748cc that has 93 rwp@ 10500 and 68 ftp@8000 stock, but I have a custom exhaust and intake that required major 6 jets sizes larger so I'm thinking something like 100hp. I'll take pics this weekend and post them on here if you guys would like

Hello,
I am sure that this quad will be awesome. I have heard of people that did this before only they put a 750 SECA motor on the same frame. I am wondering how much additional weight you added to the stock Warrior? I wouldn't think it would be that much but don't know for sure. I bet you will need at least 4" of swing arm to keep that beast managable. lol Have fun and be safe.

with fuel and coolant it weights 448 but a stock warrior weights 397 dry so i think thats good since it took 3/4 gallon of coolant and three quarts of oil. also the motor weights 40 more than stock so needless to say i did alot of triming

I love custom builds like this, pics would be awesome! 4" in the swinger should be enough.

I have went trail riding and dune riding with it since the last time posted and it's does everything I had hoped and more.

As for drag racing all I have raced so far is a Baja ds650 on the sand flats with 12 paddle haulers. he jumped the line for two reasons the paddles that he has and he wrapped it up and dumped it while I idle off the start I currently have 20x11x8 8 paddle edge (I know way undersized for the power) back to the drag race I would say it probably was about an 1/16 mile and was at the end and he was at the 2/3 mark but twice I let off in 4th and 5th gear to make it competitive

Pictures when I try to load them on my page it says there to big so if any of you guys know how make the pictures smaller (the mb size smaller) let me know

It's still a work in progress since the pic I've extended the swinger 6" as for the future list of things to upgrade is=

Raptor 700 or ds650 or kfx700 shocks front and rear
Custom built A-arms so the front track width is 50"
+4" g force axle so the rear track width 48"
Dual PIAA 7" lights
Gripper seat cover
Flat black painted frame, plastic, and rims
Adjustable shift light
Exhaust wrap (burnt leg)
New coolant sensor mechanical (I blew up the electric on)
22x11x8 10 paddle haulers? What do you think ?
Skid plate

There is probably more that I can't think of now but so far I'm into this project less then $500 and will end up spending less than $1000. Hours spent building this project endless though. Thrill it gives you every time you push the incredible stiff thumb throttle priceless!!!

Very nice. The only thing that I would include is a twist throttle. Also, Auto Zone has 15' of exhaust wrap for $15. I just bought some for my warrior because I don't have a heat shield and I'm tired of burning my leg.
